2012 Texas Conference of HHS Councils

Please see below for registration info and the agenda of the 2012 Texas Conference of HHS Councils. This event, held on Friday, November 9th from 9 am to 3:30 pm at the State Capitol, is free, open to the public, and a great way for get a feel for health and human services during the upcoming 83rd Legislative Session.

9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Registration 

10:00 – 10:15 a.m. Welcome 

10:15 – 10:30 a.m. Opening Remarks: Outlook for Health and Human Services in 83rd Legislature 

10:30 – 11:45 a.m. Panel: Health and Human Services in 83rd Legislative Session and Their Cross-Agency Impact on HHS System 

11:45 – 1:00 p.m. Lunch Break 

1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Panel: Budget Outlook: 83rd Legislative Session 

2:00 – 2:15 p.m. Break 

2:15 – 3:30 p.m. Panel: Dynamic Workforce Trends in Health and Human Services 

3:30 p.m. Closing Remarks & Adjournment 

Council members are encouraged to ask questions at the end of each panel. No public comment will be taken at this event. This meeting is open to the general public. 

We request that you pre-register by October 30, 2012 in order to ensure adequate seating. An overflow room will be open on the day of the conference, but seating will only be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
