This call to action is to request that you email the members of the House Calendars Committee and ask that they bring HB 868 to the floor of the House for a vote. The more of us that they hear from, the more likely they are to send it to the House floor.
HB 868, authored by Representative Villareal, empowers families to care and support their mentally ill loved one’s lives; it would increase public safety and save tax payer dollars that are spent in costly legal processing and incarceration fees to the state as well as costly inpatient treatments.
Below please find email addresses and telephone numbers for the House Calendars Committee Members as well as a sample letter (between the yellow highlight).
