comments requested: HCBS proposed reimbursement rule

Health and Human Services Commission Rate Analysis Department plans to propose new rule §355.9070, Reimbursement Methodology for Home and Community-Based Services – Adult Mental Health Program, under Title 1, Part 15, Chapter 355, Subchapter M. The new rule describes the reimbursement methodology for this program which serves both eligible Medicaid recipients and individuals not eligible for Medicaid; therefore, the title within the Texas Administrative Code will be amended accordingly.

The rule will be presented as an informational item to the Medical Care Advisory Committee on August 8, 2013.

November 1, 2013 Publish proposed rule in Texas Register
February 14, 2014 Publish adopted rule in Texas Register
March 6, 2014 Rule effective on or before this date

Update:

The HHSC proposed rule is to provide the reimbursement methodology for the HCBS-AMH program being developed and proposed by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS). DSHS posted the program rule for comment at http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/mhsa/broadcasts/, broadcast #102. This information will provide the details of the program.

For the HHSC proposed rule regarding the rate methodology, please be sure to have comments to Kyle Baxter of HHSC no later than August 2, 2013 to ensure they are considered prior to the Medical Care Advisory Council scheduled for August 8, 2013.
